At Our Moon, we change one life to change thousands.

We champion social mobility, and measure our impact by the successes of our students as they go on to become passionate, ethical young leaders who drive change in their communities.

Impact on Students

Since our founding in 2016, 100% of our Young Leaders have successfully graduated from Our Moon’s programmes, and all have gone on to study at prestigious institutions across the globe, including some who have secured places at Ivy League schools and Russell Group universities.

At these universities, students major in a variety of subjects, from Economics and Sociology, to Computer Science, Medicine and Engineering.

Our alumni graduate with outstanding degrees, before going on to further study or to start their careers. Those who opt for postgraduate studies go on to complete Master degrees and PhD programmes, while those who join the workforce quickly progress into early leadership roles.

Impact in communities

Prior to starting university, we encourage students to get involved in community projects to understand the impact they alone can have on the people around them.

Through volunteering, students have tutored children and young people in a wide range of subjects, assisted agricultural and gardening projects, and taken part in local waste management initiatives.

In doing so, students develop the essential skills they need to help them thrive in the workforce, all the while making a difference in the local community.

Not only do we champion the social mobility of our students, but we encourage social mobility in the areas surrounding our site. We offer local youth opportunities to upskill, learning brick-laying, carpentry and tool-making as they work on developing Our Moon’s site.

“Our Moon encouraged me to achieve my dreams and helped me find a way. I am now studying Epidemiology and Biostatistics at USIU-Africa in Kenya and looking forward to exploring my desire to contribute to reducing hunger through better agricultural practices."
